Gerardine BaughA canvas sings
Deep, between the brush strokes
Swirls in rich colors
Imagination, rings out thought
Building a fantasy world
I can fall into…
Slow down and listen
The Creator is speaking…

Welcome to my world By ~Gerardine Baugh
Welcome to my world
Float with me between the grasses
Search out the sweet scented milkweeds
The heady heavy blooming flocks
I drift within a cocoon of pleasure
I bump into a presence not recognized inside my world
I slip around it ignoring iridescent wings
And continue on with my songInterview

Just a blip I posted in a comment on, Facebook…what starts your creative process?
The easy road to anything doesn’t exist; it comes about just in the doing. But some have ways to go about it, rituals before the words or numbers flow. If I do a lot of nothing, then nothing will get done. But set a pencil in a cup, or grab a piece of paper and place it where it belongs, that movement announces to the cosmos I am working…

creative writing,
very cute and hospital, I feel like being with u drinking a cup of coffee,
smell the fresh and sweet smell, 😉
jingle,
Thank you, enjoy your coffee.
Gerardine
I love the poem and the peacefulness about it. I especially liked the line “Espresso grind of inspiration,” as well as the photo that goes with the poem. It adds an extra element that words alone don’t quite bring.
Half Pint,
Thank you! The photo wasn’t suppose to have the cat, but Kenshin appears whenever I pull out the camera.
Gerardine Baugh
I enjoyed this. Great line: “Espresso grind of inspiration”

I am still waiting for that day, seems like ‘stuff’ gets in the way.
Thank you for commenting, have a great day!
Gerardine
I like how staring out the window seems to be what you “warm up” for. I wish I had more time to plan on abandon, these days.
drj3kyll,
I never plan , to do nothing, it just sneeks up on me:-)
Gerardine
i can relate, totally.
kseverny,
Enjoy your coffee, and have a great weekend!
Gerardine
The part about the smell of coffee getting between your thoughts was sweet. It’s an unexpected turn of phrase, but I totally get what you mean.
Kelsey,
Thank you,
Gerardine

datsme,
Thank you I grabbed it !
Gerardine
I loved it..
One can really get attached to small but vital things in life..
Like a cup of coffee, aroma, scent, or even some music..
nanno1982,
The simple things are the best.
